Thank you March

for bringing some warm springtime air. I have just about had it with winter. Being out in the sun just does something for me. I can't wait to get out in the yard and get my hands in the dirt, I just love that feeling.

Luke is having a HARD time with nursery, so we are trying to come up with some creative ways to help him out. Last night we had nursery home evening. We went from room to room in our house, toy time, then treat time then song time. He loved it, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to help with next Sunday... oh well we all had fun.

Then this morning I thought I'd take him to a singing/reading time at the library... a little closer to nursery. In the beginning he just sat on my lap, being super shy, but by the end he was running around pointing out all of the babies (anyone under 4) I'm hoping if we go to this weekly it will help him transition into nursery again. (plus it is a fun little outing). Anyway afterwards we went to the park, Luke had a blast on the weeeee. It was crazy to think that last year he couldn't really even play at this park because he couldn't climb up the wall to the slides...he is growing right up.

Hmm..

Kind of in a blogging funk

Well Bryan and I have developed an addiction to get us through the winter ... thank you netflix:

We are also shopping for some of this:

We don't need quite this much, but pretty much the whole house needs new flooring except the bathrooms, that we have already replaced. We were going to do it right when we moved in... fast forward almost 3 years :) I guess life got in the way. I will be really nice to have carpet that is connected to the ground... we have one really crazy room. We bought a fixer - upper, exhausting, but fun to work on together.

Most of the time I'm hanging out with this guy. He is starting to have quite the sense of humor.

I am amazed at how old he is getting and how much he understands, but there is still a lot that is beyond him. Last week at lunch he had his shirt off, yep I'm that kink of mom, and he kept trying to pull his nipples off. I couldn't convince him that they were supposed to be there, so he would pull and then go owww. Over and over... he's a character.

The Dead Zoo

Well it's been a bit too cold here to go to the real zoo, but we were looking for a fun family activity on Friday so we headed out to this Museum of stuffed animals. Kind of creepy if you think about it. Luke loved it... well to be perfectly honest he loved the benches, the buttons on the exhibits, the stairs and the water fountain. But hey he had a good time. We spent so much time on the stairs in fact that he learned how to climb stairs all on his own. You can tell in the pictures he is not interested in stopping to take pictures, he wants to be moving on.

New Year's Resolutions

Just by looking at the date you might guess that one of my resolutions might be to stop procrastonating...but nah. However now that you mention it perhaps I'll sock that beauty away for next year. This year I am trying to get some monsters out of my closet. Don't worry I'm not about to confess any sins here. These are crafts, one of which has followed me since high school. So by this years end I will finish these beauties and do one quilt of my own choosing.

Swedish weaving my Grandma taught me how when I was in highschool. So this has a special meaning, I have asked her to help show me how to finish it off. You would think I had waited so long that the colors would be back in style...I'll give it another decade.

This cross-stitch frankly I can't remember the story behind and I might throw it away when I finish it. I now it has made at least one move with me. It is huge, never ending and it has crazy stuff printed on it. Arg...this will be the hardest.

This quilt is part of a quilt of the month club. I love the colors, but not the design. I think we finish in October...so this should be pretty easy.

Lastly I want to make something I love, out of a pattern I love in colors I love. But I don't have any ideas. so we will see.

My other "resolution" is to read more. I have started reading again and I love it. I love reading for fun. I used to do it all of the time and then just stopped but I am back and my goal is to read ... I think I have decided on 38 books this year, twice what I read last year. So any sugguestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know that these are not deep life changing resolutions. But I've never been one to make and keep life changing resolutions, cause they aren't mesuarable. These are so. And now I am accountable, so here goes.
